Insurance & Payment Information
Do you Accept insurance?
While we are considered out-of-network (OON) providers by most insurance companies, we are currently in-network with *Aetna and *Medicare. Please note that many insurance plans have out-of-network benefits that will typically reimburse between 50% to 80% of session costs after your deductible is met. Most Medicaid plans do not currently offer OON benefits.
*We have some participating providers with Medicare, however we are not in-network directly with crossover/supplementary plans.
*At this time our participating providers have room on their caseloads for individual sessions. Please note, Aetna Student plans through Universities and Colleges do require a referral from the school directly to the insurance plan prior to holding any sessions with our therapists.
What is your fee and payment policy?
Session rates depend on the therapist and experience. Our current rates range between $150-225 for a 50-minute session.
Individual fees are determined prior to beginning therapy, and we accept payment via credit card.
What is Your Cancelation Policy?
Our cancellation policy requires 48-hour notice of cancellation. Cancellation with less than 48 hours’ notice requires payment in full. If you are unable to attend your session in person, we are available via phone or video. These methods can also be used as a plan for individuals with potential obstacles to attendance such as frequent travel, chronic health issues, COVID-related concerns, and more.
Common Questions
What Can I expect for the first session?
The first session is an opportunity for us to meet face-to-face and start building a safe and supportive connection. During this time, your therapist will gather the most important information needed to ensure your safety and address your immediate concerns, going at a pace that feels comfortable for you. You are welcome to share your personal history and present-day concerns, as well as any goals you might have for therapy. Together, you’ll address any questions or concerns you have about the process and identify a plan for moving forward. If you both agree to continue working together, therapy will begin in the following session. If, for any reason, you or your therapist feel that working together may not be the best fit, we will provide you with specific referrals to other resources or professionals.
How often do I need to come in?
Therapy is most powerful when it’s conducted weekly. This is verified by countless studies and my professional experience as a therapist. Without a doubt, we’ve found that clients who commit to weekly sessions for the duration of treatment make the greatest transformations. Occasionally, it may be appropriate to meet more or less often, depending on your needs.
Do you only see LGBTQ+ couples or individuals?
No, our doors are open to everyone, regardless of gender identity or sexual orientation. While we have a strong focus on supporting LGBTQ individuals, we also specialize in working with those who have experienced traumatic childhoods and challenging relationship dynamics. We welcome patients from all backgrounds and walks of life, and we are committed to providing compassionate care tailored to each individual’s unique needs.
